Welcome to a new issue of The Weekend Edition, a weekly series where I share a mini medley of links and reviews for you to read with your morning coffee. Think of it as a little dose of delight to start your weekend. Enjoy!

📺 Next Level Chef (season 4) on FOX – Chefs Gordon Ramsay, Nyesha Arrington and Richard Blais recruit a variety of home cooks, social media chefs, and professional chefs and mentor them as they face unique cooking challenges in a one-of-a-kind culinary competition show. Only one chef will win $250,000, a year long mentorship with Gordan and be named the food world’s newest superstar. Season 4 of Next Level Chef is already off to a good start. They’re so many impressive cooks this time. It’s hard to pick a clear front runner. However, these are the ones that have caught my eye: Bobby (social media chef), Arnav (home cook), Becca (social media chef), Austin (professional chef) and Ryan (professional chef).

📚My Body by Emily Ratajkowski – a collection of essays by model and actress, Emily Ratajkowski that explores feminism, sexuality, and power of men’s treatment of women and women’s rationalizations for accepting that treatment. While I knew her name and that she was a model, I didn’t know too much about Emily Ratajkowski before picking up this book. But, whoa, I was impressed. Girl knows how to WRITE! These essays are thought provoking, raw, and extremely vulnerable.
