Happy Friday! Welcome back to The Weekend Edition. A series where I share a mini medley of ideas and reviews for you to peruse. Think of it as a little dose of joy to start your weekend. Enjoy!

🎥 Hot Frosty on Netflix – When Kathy (Lacy Chabert), a young grieving widow, places a gifted red scarf around a hunky snowman (Dustin Milligan), she magically brings him to life! Can her snowman help her rediscover romance, laughter, and holiday cheer before he melts away? Swooning over a hot snowman was not on my bingo card for the year, but here we are. Once you get over the preposterous storyline of a snowman brought to life, this really is a charming movie. Lacy Chabert is a natural at holiday romcoms, and Dustin Milligan was adorable at playing an innocent snowman brought to life. I also enjoyed the subplot of the Sheriff (Craig Robinson) and his deputy (Joe Lo Truglio) trying to solve the crime that Jack (aka Hot Frosty) unknowingly committed. If you’re looking for a silly feel-good flick that doesn’t take itself too seriously, then this is it.
🛳 Would you go on a Hallmark Christmas Cruise?
🎧 The Third Gilmore Girl by Kelly Bishop – Actress, dancer, and broadway star, Kelly Bishop shares some of her greatest stories and life lessons in this candid and captivating memoir. Do yourself a favor and listen to the audiobook. It’s narrated by Kelly, and she brings so much warmth and confidence in her storytelling. If you’re a Gilmore Girls fan, then this book is for you. Kelly Bishop is a queen. đź‘‘
▶️ ‘Wicked’ Costume Designer Breaks Down Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo’s Dresses – I’m always fascinated by behind-the-scenes videos where I get to see the magic of motion pictures brought to life. In a recent video, InStyle takes us behind the scenes of the highly anticipated new movie Wicked (out today!) where the film’s costume designer, Paul Tazewell, explains how he brought these iconic characters to life through costume design.
✍️ Getting Personal with Kelsea Ballerini – I love her!
đź’ż I can’t believe I haven’t mentioned Kelsea Ballerini’s newest album, Patterns in a previous Weekend Edition. The album was released back in October, and it’s so so so good. Give it a listen this weekend if you haven’t already!
Thanks for reading!
There won’t be a post next week because I’ll be in Florida with my boyfriend to spend Thanksgiving with his family. I’ll be back with new posts in December. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! xx – Leah
